Is this1979 d hibbing on united states or real doubling

  • Hubbing .when the coin shifts in the minting process and you get a shelf look clock wise. If I'm starting it wrong please forgive me only been doing this for 2 years

    Machine doubling? Edit, I cannot see anything unusual.

    The shelf like look is typically called machine doubling or strike doubling. Hub doubling is the more desirable doubling.

    This is definitely machine doubling as its shelf like and doesn’t have split serifs.

    Use the Google, it is your friend. There is much on mechanical doubling to see and learn. Guessing without knowing is not necessary here. Peace Roy
