Yellow reverse 1935D $1- silver certificate

I came across this extremely well circulated Clarke/Snyder 1935d $1- blue (?) seal silver certificate withheld entire reverse color yellow.
I cannot find any information on this type of bill.
I am looking for information and value for this bill.

In that condition, the note is worth basically face value.

Back in the 60's and early 70's, it was common to alter the backs of notes to make them that color.

Look at the fading of the treasury seal and serials, due to chemical alteration.

Here is a CU note for comparison, and though CU, the ink would not fade that much in circulation.

I don't own this note, but here is a 120 year old circ for comparison, again, look at the blue inks.

Luckybucks thank you for the reply. I thought it might have been some type of chemical alteration but since it was only on one side I hoped it was something special and then maybe had some value.
At a minimum it is an interesting conversation piece.

It is a chemical alteration that someone tried to do, usually to deceive ...not worth a coversation piece> @Ppp said:

Hydrogen Peroxide used by a tool to "improve" the note.
