Card Cleaning Question - Fleer 1987 Jordan

Hi all, this is my first post here, hopefully it’s in the right place.
I have an 87 Fleer Jordan, which in my opinion, is in pretty good condition. However I just recently noticed some sort of smudge on the card, to the left of his head. I don’t want to jeopardize the rest of the card, so are there any solutions to possibly wiping it away? It seems pretty “on there” so I’m hoping it is doable. I will attempt wiping with a lens cleaning cloth, but any other ideas? Could this be a print defect?

Not to my knowledge. This card was passed down to me and has been in a hard casing as long as I can remember.
I would “ huff” on it to get your hot breath on the card. Then gently buff with a microfiber cloth. If it doesn’t come out then leave it.
Ive owned several of these issues with this exact print flaw. It is not something that can be taken off and it is actually in the card. Will never come off. I guarantee it. Unless you just completely ruin the image and card.
100%. This smudge is there for the long haul. I would expect a PSA 6 on a card with this type of issue.
have you tried putting up to a light to see the sheen of the surface? i would try to figure out what the smudge is made of.
