Very bad cravings on back of quater

Quater is great shape but circle shaped chunks of metal. Anyone know what this is and what can it be? Any help would be awesome. I should have asked tou guys before i started submitting these coins. I should have sent in my BU morgen dollar and BU peace dollar and my 2 privy Dollars and S dollar produced 75,000 and the 2 S silver dollar where they made about 255"000 when it was to only be 200,000 made. I buy all limited production mint coins. I even got the platinum $25 oz 10,000 made. I just need a better understanding of errors. I really need to buy the cherry pickers guide.
Have they come out with a 2021 book yet or when is it coming out? Ty

Did you mean "carvings" rather than "cravings"? It looks like PMD (post mint damage) on your coin.

I hope you didn't actually send this in for grading. It is just damage, nothing more and is worth exactly 25 cents.
Its also to see the coin through the capsule. And diagnosis usually needs pics of both sides.
Sounds like between this, the cent and any other coins you have sent in you have wasted a lot of money. This was run over or in some other way damaged, its just worth a quarter.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
PMD = Post Mint Damage. It’s a quick shorthand for saying that what someone is seeing is damage that occurred after the coin was created. It may be through environmental change, someone defacing the coin, or some other mechanical damage. It doesn’t matter, all the matters is it didn’t happen at the time of the coin being made.
How many total coins did you send in? So far you are 0/2.
I think its 3.
Under error tier, no less.
Keep looking. Keep trying. Keep studying.

Aren't those $100 a pop or close?
Looks like some of the quarters that I hit with my screwdriver metal detecting.

Depending, of course, I would say $65 is average. If it’s a particularly valuable error the price would be higher.

You wouldn’t believe how many times I hear people pronounce it that way. I suppose they learned it at the libary studying nuc-u-lar physics or ath-uh-letics.
Perhaps it would be clearer to you if he posted in his native language.

I have no cravings for those carvings.

I have a work document that keeps defaulting to Italian as the language. It wreaks havoc on the spell check.
That's funny. I have one that keeps defaulting to German. I can't figure out why.

Just sad. I guess there is no way to stop this.

I suspect an alt or a troll..... anyone who has knowledge of PCGS grading coins.... and supposedly has sent it in.... surely has knowledge enough to recognize whether the coin in question is damaged or not....
just sayin.....
Oh, it is possible. In which case, adults should just ignore him. If it is not an alt or a troll, then where is the civility?

If I say, "junk" but nobody else does then what?
For modern "limited editions", it depends on whether you are selling them or keeping them. It also depends on whether you want PCGS plastic or not. It depends on whether you want "First Strike" designation or not.
The Privy Mark coins are probably worth sending in. If you get 70s, you win. If you get 69s, you lose. But it is worth the gamble, especially if you are selling. If you are keeping them AND you don't care about the plastic, you can keep them raw.
For other things like the 2020-W, it depends on the same factors. If you are keeping them, totally up to you as to how you want them packaged. If you are selling, you have to get 70s to win. 69s are a loss.
For presale on 2021s, expect problems with your order. If the issue price is higher than people anticipate or the market price is higher, people may well start canceling orders. If there is a high mintage limit, expect these coins to not have a secondary market price increase and so you are risking a loss by locking in at too high per price.
I'm rather suspicious of either you or your supplier. There is NO WAY the issue price for this coin is anywhere near $24.89. It is most likely $75 to $100. So anyone selling them for $24.89 is either an idiot or ripping you off.

This site has quite a few knowledgeable numismatists and experts on a number of different collecting topics as well as the minting/dismaying process. If you get a strong consensus, it's extremely unlikely they are wrong.
There are some things that depend on the quality of the pictures, such as natural toning vs accelerated/artificial toning, grading opinions on MS69 and MS70, and Micro doubled dies that could be difficult to evaluate. But if you post a focused, representative pic, you'll get an accurate answer
I suggest removing the post with your name, address and last four digits of your credit card.

How come you had to pay shipping when the top banner of the website says free shipping on orders over $199?
Now it is my turn to appear like a newbie....
What are these special Silver Eagles you ordered. Is there a limited bullion edition for next year?
Just hang around and you’ll be fine. This is the place to go to get questions answered. We also like you to feel comfortable asking.
The quarter you’re showing is damaged and is worth nothing more than 25 cents. Yes if I were you I’d get some cherry pickers guide books and read up on error coins. That would be a big help for you.
Happy hunting, Joe
There are limited edition products next year, which I thought he was talking about. But based on the price and source, I think he is just talking about regular old 2021 silver eagles.

Hi,
Those are just regular 2021 silver eagles. That's not a bad price, but I wouldn't get into the slabbing game on those.
I thought you were talking about the proof issues with the $100 pre-sale. Those bullion coins are just that: bullion. If you get them into MS70 holders you might get a premium. But you aren't a bulk submitter paying $5 per coin to get them slabbed. If you pay $26 + $35 for slab fees, you are into them for $60. 69s will be selling for $26, so you'd have to get at least 50% 70s to break even.

Post pics with coin in holder showing PCGS assessment. That would help.
