Question about American Silver Eagles.

I am certain I use to order a pair of Eagles each year
directly from the USMint. I noticed this year that
I have to purchase them at designated distributors instead.
I am wondering, why isn't the USmint selling them anymore?

    The bullion version is only sold by designated distributors, it has been that way for a long time.
    If you purchased ASE's from the mint they would be W burnished, proof or other finishes.

    Thanks... I must be thinking of other coins purchased via the mint. My
    memory is fading...ugh.
