Intercept Shield Type Album Opinions Please

Since the Dansco 7070 is getting to be a little expensive and the Intercept Shield Type Album seems to have more in it and is readily available, I was wondering if anyone had any updated opinions on the album quality. I read through the old threads on this but they were all from a while ago and it seems like they should have fixed the hole size issues but I was more worried about delamination of the pages. If anyone could provide an unbiased opinion, it would be appreciated.

Does anyone use this album or is Dansco the better option?

The majority of people here buy and own certified coins, I have the IS album for my raw wheats (for what I hope is better protection). And I have one for a raw merc set, I've never had any real issues with either one and both are around ten years old.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
Thank you coinbuf, your experience is appreciated. I have a lot of slabs too but it just isn't as enjoyable as flipping through pages in an album.

Albums are more fun to look at. Dansco is the only albums I have currently. I would like to get some more but Dansco is just not available, so this is a good question.
I have not used that particular product, but if it helps I have used some of their other items and I like the quality. I trust their products.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
I have seen the intercept album and don't see much of a down side.
Any and all dansco album seems to just get harder and harder to fine new or used!
Thanks everyone, I think I’m going to get one.

the type set book is neat except for the error issue for the one large cent.
I like the Intercept Shield type album. One of the large cent holes is too small, but still useable. It has a number of additional places for more recent coin issues.
The pardon is for tyrants. They like to declare pardons on holidays, such as the birthday of the dictator, or Christ, or the Revolution. Dictators should be encouraged to keep it up. And we should be encouraged to remember that the promiscuous dispensation of clemency is not a sign of political liberality. It is instead one of those valuable, identifying marks of tyranny.

Mine tore up quickly as it filled. You get what you pay for I guess. Doesn't seem as sturdy.
I replaced mine with a Whitman classic. Seems to be better built and it's price point is very good. It's more like my dance albums.
IS is nowhere near the quality of Dansco. It is lighter, cheaper. I had a terrible time putting in Westward Journey nickels and centennial cents. The holes were too small, as was for the coronet large cent. On the up side it holds more coins and since the plastic sliders are thinner you see the coins better. On the whole, it's like getting an album from Ali Express and I was pretty disappointed.
I like to find older albums in good shape. I have some library of coins albums that seem like they were only gently used.
Beware older albums. Some of them are not archival.
Anyone looking for old/new/obsolete folders & albums from multiple manufacturers should touch base with Randy Miller, from Chief Coin & Supply (out of Oshkosh, WI) - - he was my go-to guy several years back for many of my Darkside, out-of-print folders at excellent prices (especially used!). Glad to see he's still in business!

Mrs_Spud has a Roosevelt dime intercept shield album. The coins were all high grade, full band blast white when the album was new about 15 years ago, but now some of them are starting to take on some golden looking toning. So be aware that the intercept shield technology (copper embedded into the paper inside the album) seems to stop working after 10 plus years. Other than that the album seems ok.
Mr_Spud
Yep.
Intercept is basically porous copper particles embedded into a matrix. These particles are 'sacrificed' when they react with, and neutralize, corrosive gases in the atmosphere. As such, Intercept products have a finite service life, and will eventually need to be replaced.

I would have expected Mr. Spud to post the picture with the sweet potatoes, not ttown...
I don't collect raw but I like the IS slab holders for my copper coins.

@JTHawaii and @TheRaven - Yes, flipping through an album is nice, but our hosts Registry allows us to easily create a Digital album. I’m so far from being tech savvy that decades ago when someone asked me to send him a copy of my disc, I mailed him a photocopy of that disc, lol. But even I was able to use their tool to easily put together the following:
