Hi guy's, I have this 1939p Jefferson. I noticed about the variety, 1939 Reverse of the 1940? Knowing my coin has the appearance of that 1940 Reverse. Am I to believe that I do have it? Thanks guy's :) I do realize this is NOT the Full Steps
My 1939p

The actual variety

1940 Reverse

Yes. The steps are straight, and the incuse vertical bars on both ends of the steps are a telltale sign.

Thanks. My only concern is the word ,"Monticello"? The lettering in the CPG has thinner letters than mine? :*

if you're thinking DDR, no, it isn't. that Variety is very easy to see, not subtle at all.

The one in the CPG that you show is a proof.

    Great looking nickel, Joey.

The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

1939 rev of 40 is by far more common than 39 rev of 38 (on business strikes.)
