How does that make it a scam?

Got lucky sent an offer the night before and woke up to this so nice timing on my part.

Btw haven't bought on ebay in awhile was expecting to pay sales tax and didn't. It wasn't bullion but a world coin from atlas - do all coins avoid sales tax now cause that would be fantastic.

You really have to make stuff up to bash the two great companies, so sad.

It depends on your state laws. In CA, for example, only coin invoices under $1500 get taxed.

I'm in Illinois and have bought a few watches on ebay this year and paid sales tax so I assumed a non bullion coin would also. That plus the ebay 5% I woke up to was a nice bonus for a coin I was buying anyways.

    Per Google:

Across the state of Illinois, the sales and use tax is 6.25%, with an additional 1%- 3.75% added by local municipalities such as cities and counties? Under the tax laws and regulations, there is an exemption for all legal tender, currency, coins, bullion, and medallions made from any precious metal like gold or silver.
