The track announcer always says, hold all tickets until the result is official...and yes don't count your money on anything until it's in your hand or bank account.

Then after the commotion settles, some casino boss comes up to the player, apologizes, and offers a meal comp and room, maybe some show tickets, as compensation. Yea, like that makes the player feel a whole lot better?
I realize DraftKings was not at fault on this...but come on, the money they make...at least show some class and give the guy an extra 25k or so to help ease the pain of a horrible disappointment.

Some players have sued to try to get what they thought was their money, after being denied a won jackpot at a casino. However in every case that i've read about, the courts have ruled in favor of the casinos.
This has even happened with state lottery tickets whereby players won a jackpot, but the tickets for some reason were ruled invalid...printing error or whatever the yell it was.

I didn't know that. The lottery tickets have the bar code, so if it is not scannable, I can see that. Perhaps doctored or altered in some way. The slot machine, I just don't understand.
How about Chubb going out of bounce untouched at the 1 instead of taking the easiest TD ever and destroying bettors that took Cleveland? That would make me seriously think about boarding a flight to Cleveland and getting beat up after sucker punching one Mr. Nicholas Chubb 😳
