Type Set Albums ??

Most collectors here have the Dansco 7070. I'm wondering if anyone has the Littleton albums and what they have to say about them. Are there any other albums worth looking into ?

A couple years ago I tried a Littleton album. While I like the individual pages, I quickly disliked their format of the album. It is a three ring binder.
    1. The rings are more rectangular than a true circle. I find the pages noticeably harder to turn,
    2. Further, the binding section is considerably wider than the width of all the pages in the album (see photo). That means each album takes up much more space on the shelf, and multiple albums set side-by-side would not stack well together as we have come to expect from books. I have both brand of albums for the Mercury dime, and the Littleton version has a binding twice as wide as the one on the Dansco.

If I can't find the album I want in Dansco, I have bought the Whitman version which is much more similar to what I expect and want.

My strategy is about collecting what I intend to keep, not investing in what I plan to sell.

This is my first album ever, it got me started in coin collecting 6-7 years ago. It’s a Littleton album with the same coins as a 7070. I like the paper sheets that show photos of each hole because I had never seen the majority of them when I got it. I don’t know if they still make it, I think they split it into two now, but you might find a used one somewhere.

I agree though that it’s chubby and takes up more space than it should compared to the Dansco.

Here's an old thread about a Littleton-issued 7070, perhaps your pages were moved from one of these to the green binder
