Are you not supposed to ask about other grading services? If that's the case I'm sorry.

There are probably at least 1000 CAC threads. Search for those. All facets of the service have been thoroughly explored here already.
This is not a free speech safe zone.
That one post thread was really closed fast.

If you google that company on the coin week website you’ll find most everything you’ll want to know without as much opinion spin as this forum.

talk about heading things off at the PAST, a moderator must have awoken from a deep slumber and closed that before the first sip of Java.
If you meant PASS, I certainly agree. Quickest CLOSED ever.

I guess the mod figures we don't need yet another "what is CAC?" thread. Everything that can be said has been said. Use the search feature and you can read about CAC for hours.
PCGS has some sort of partnership with CAC. So it's not like CAC is a forbidden topic (anymore...it was 10 years ago).
It is perfectly fine to ask reasonable questions about other grading services too. It's up to us to keep discussions civil.
Lance.
I never heard this before. Anyone know what the nature of this partnership is?

I don't think there is any partnership. As a publicly traded company, Collector's Universe would have to disclose things like that. But there may be some level of cooperation with them which wouldn't be out of the ordinary for businesses.
When I read that, I thought of the PCGS/CAC registry.

Correct. I said "some sort of partnership" because it is not a true partnership. The two companies are cooperating on capturing CAC certification for registries and personal inventories of PCGS coins.
This is a far cry from 10 or 12 years ago.

wake up everyone!!! I know "heading them off at the PASS" is the saying, I had hoped, evidently wrongly, that you guys were quick witted enough to catch the play on words, that's why PASS was in all caps.
the suggestion is that the moderator has seen what's happened in the PAST with CAC threads and stopped this one in its tracks based on that experience.
Too bad...

I just cleaned/oiled my guns and reloaded all my mags.

Love the quick closure. The endless CAC rehashing is tiresome.
Smitten with DBLCs.
Thanks for all the info ya'll. Didn't mean to fire anyone up. My bad.
