Who are the players at SIlvertowne since Leon passed away?
I used to work with his son-in-law, but I am drawing a blank on his name.

THanks. I knew that but was in a hurry and didn’t realize my mistake. My English professors would be horrified!

One of the nicest families in the business. Back in the 80's, when I attended several large
shows each year , Leon and his family were usually in attendance. Many times they would
buy birthday cakes, rather large ones at that, to help celebrate a fellow dealers birthday.
Leon was known to buy checks at the end of a show, -3%, to help out dealers. Truly one
of the nicest and friendliest in our hobby!!

    +1

character like his isn't made, its born. a privilege to have known and done business with him and his family. i'm sure there are others out there but he is the only person to be willing to price to me a 6 figure coin or a .25c one. much to my astonishment and joy. always a pleasure to drive to the middle of nowhere, cow country, to do numismatic business.

like that -3% check thing, i've seen him do and have heard of some really good stories. many official positions held over the decades. so much more to say but this isn't the thread.

I just find it amusing the number of us that remember Cheech & Chong. Post this on any other forum besides a coin thread you'll get ????? I guess we're the older generation.
