  • Agreed man. I hope he’s reading this and the blowout forum below. We have the information we need and the cat is out of the bag. UPS tied him there and local police are involved. Send it back to PSA

Other less incriminating offers have been made available to him or whoever at zero cost plus eliminating the worry about being linked to the purchase of said postage that returning the card would ensue. If anything on that front comes to fruition I will definitely let PSA and owner know. Primary thing is just getting the card back to its rightful owner.

OP messaged me last night. Todd can check pm's between the op and myself.

Just trying to make it easy as possible to whoever to right any wrongs that have been done.

  • Thank you man. I am the owner. Please contact me if anything develops. Its very simple - I just want the card back. There’s still time to right the wrong before it gets out of my control. My contact info is in one of the above posts and PSA contact is below

A follow up message to Thomas...

You really need to think about what direction you want to go at this point. You are literally at the cross roads right now. You have a choice and the owner of the card is being unbelievable in giving you an option which many would not be given. You probably will lose your job but do you really want to carry this on and end up in jail for up to 5 years? You did something stupid and criminal. You have a chance to lessen the blow that will come down on you simply by sending the card back to PSA so the the card ends up in the hands of the owner. It's as simple as that. I'm trying to help you out here with some basic advise. Life is about making choices. Each choice can lead you in a certain direction. You chose a wrong direction but have the opportunity to get back on the right path. Choose wisely.

@thomasc1978 If you have nothing to hide, then why delete posts? Why not say how you you obtained the picture? Calling this a circus is accurate, but even in the most generous of interpretations, you fail to see the reasons why it has become so. Not answering these questions shades opinions.

  • That was my last attempt at personally trying to rectify this. This guy just doesn't get it and he’s been given terrible advice. I’ve been unbelievably patient. It’s out of my hands now and I’ve been advised not to speak on it anymore. I appreciate the investigative work everyone’s doing to expose this clown, and keep at it for the sake of the collecting community. Justice will be served. I just hope for his sake, the card is in the mail already.

This is a CU HOF worthy thread.

    Incredible to follow.

Fascinating seeing the OP change the title back and add the pic.

I dont hide and have been here and will cooperate with any and all authority to find guilty party or parties involved to give mr grumpy pants the card back.

Mr. Grumpy Pants? Someone has a valuable item stolen, you have information on it, are being dodgy about the details and you call the rightful owner a name.

I think you owe an apology and, what the owner would probably appreciate more, additional information to help retrieve his property.

I’m addition to not being mean, be helpful. Share the information you have to make this right. I think that’s what everyone ultimately wants.

    I guess I’ll ask again:

    • why did you delete the posts?
    • where did you get the pic?

Easy questions to answer. If you’re innocent.

Not answering and name calling the guy that got a higher dollar item stolen is not going to endear you to the crowd here.

Since you filed a police report which pertains to stolen merchandise then perhaps you can give the contact information of the station and detective you talked with to Paulb privately. He can then followup with the department. Seems fair right?

I hope you can understand why everyone is concerned. The sports collecting hobby is about fun and having a forum like this for all to discuss is a great thing. People involved in this forum look out for each other and want to do everything they can to help right a wrong. No one wishes harm on anyone.

A reasonable person would expect that if someone posted a picture of something later determined to be stolen, the person who posted the picture would do all they could to help get the property back to the right owner. Privately contacting the owner, offering up help on the forum, etc.

If that was done, the owner may come back on the forum and say through the help of people on this forum, including the original poster, my item has been returned or the investigation has progressed or whatever the status is.

I don’t think people are getting that feeling that at this point. Unanswered or partially answered questions can make some believe that helpful information is being withheld.

If you have done all you can, then great. If not, please share whatever additional information you have.

I saw it only by pic and when found out it was stolen through here and psa i immediately lost interest in purchase and made a detailed statement to the authorities. I was not involved in any theft or know any more. Thats the facts

I get that. But WHERE was this pic posted and card advertised.

On ebay, insta, mercari or where?

  • Anyone info on lead is appreciated. I just want the card back. Nothing more, nothing less.

Very judgmental and rude. I did nothing wrong. Praying for you

I'm an atheist so that's not really going to do much for me.

Is it really impossible to believe that the OP is working with the police and has been asked not to broadcast details for fear of compromising the investigation/recovery? Not saying that this is the case, but it seems like a reasonable possibility to me.
