The Denver mark is in question.
The coin is kinda battered with batter. Spots

Are you absolutely sure it weighs 3.1?
If it does, you hit it!

Here is the cent you want to find. The P in the 1983 cent, that weighs 3.1. That is the real winner!

Guys, a normal copper cent weighs 3.1 grams. In 1982, they minted a bazillion of them. Like Joey says, the 1983 is the transitional cent

You could say, very extensive.
Well worth the challenge, I must say.
As you will discover.
Cool !
That may be, but you started a thread (supposedly) about a “Denver” 1982 small date bronze cent and showed a Philadelphia example, instead. So DCW’s comment was understandable and very much on point.

Cool.
But I see a Philadelphia showing a Denver.
Could have missed its target.
Think about what an actual D mintmark would look like and how one could end up where you think you see it. That is clearly not a D mintmark, but if you want to see one badly enough, no one will be able to convince you that it’s not.
