As for the PanPac, y'all can help me out. I'm assuming the rim toning was a product of the original packaging. I've seen many with this exact toning pattern along the rim:
@BryceM I too have noticed the toning pattern on PanPac halves. The ring can sometimes be quite pronounced but always close to the rim.
I sold that beautifully toned PCGS 67 Antietam at the Santa Clara coin show a while ago.
I bought that at the 2010 ANA in Boston from Steven Higgins. Sold it in a 2018 Legend Auction. ( I think it was 2018). I enjoyed owning it
