I have yet to buy gold, I have enough trouble with silver. 🙂 I have been buying mostly graded silver, but do have some raw stuff into our host. Will see how I do. Edit to add, glad they will not be in market.
in this hobby and the real world fakes are a dime a dozen one must know what they are buying or selling if there is any question then don't buy or sell the item
and buying raw is a risky idea to start with cause you never know what you will get as you found out the hard way but you took the gamble and lost chalk it up to lesson learned

You should have just returned them to the seller who is an honest and reliable member here. He was willing to pay more than what you will get from the refinery.
