One of my paintings that I had recently finished when I needed an avatar. It is a 1939 Delage.

    I got mine 15 years ago when I found a nice 1971s quarter in a dealer's inventory for $6.
The avatar is a carpy raw digicam pic from back in the day. We didn't have fancy cellphones with great cameras then.
PCGS liked it too - graded it PR69DCAM. Current population is 27 and value is $2850 (was over $6k)

I had a very strong suspicion the OP was an alt, probably @Insider2 . There are fairly trivial ways for an IT department to suss them out.

    I miss Insider2. :'(

While he was very knowledgeable on coin grading, life was too short to be around terminally obnoxious, know-it-some of the-time-but-be loud individuals like that. I don't miss him at all. There are far too many other knowledgeable people here that are way better to get along with, even if you disagree with them at times.

I used that one a few times. It gets attention and stands out. I don't think the OP is actually banned. Funny, though.

The OP is actually banned. Simply click on the OP's name and it takes you to his/her account page where PCGS has placed a black banner that clearly states "BANNED".

There is that line that some of us walk right up to and occasionally put our toe across that line or our foot in our mouth.

Insider was full speed ahead, across that line, and press that pedal to the metal.

We adamantly disagreed on many, many subjects, but I do consider him a friend.

RogerB is ATS. Do the others post anywhere?

I remember when Bruce said he wouldn't post his coins anymore. That's a shame, for everyone, since it's fun to share.

Beautiful coin and Classic TrueView. I like how the TrueView backgrounds change over time.

The thread in question was meant to notify the community about a very prominent member contracting the virus, and to let people express their condolences and well-wishes. To hijack it was in extremely poor taste. In other words, the thread was entirely appropriate right up until @Insider2 rode it completely off the rails.

Thread belonged in the open forum. This is why they trashed that whole section.
