Anyone know the history behind this PCGS sample??

Yes, self appointed sherrif's, I know this is the US Coin forum.......

Sorry I don't. But I like the PCGS sample.
Looks like it could be just another one of those samples made upon request by a dealer... just like the many generic PCGS Sample coins on eBay by the same dealer with the seemingly endless supply that many sample collectors don't even pay attention to.
This one looks different than those though because for World coins PCGS requires Secure Plus and this particular coin automatically gets the reference number too.
Just a guess...

I'm wondering why Great Britain was hyphenated. Usually it's only the lopsided centering of multi-line text that raises my OCD hackles.

Thanks for the input - was wondering if anyone recalled it being issued at a European show??
Deputy Dawg for sure 🙂
It's a Gen 6 so fairly recent.
I have some PCGS samples for Hong Kong and other countries they issued for.
