Because obsession is the word that describes my love for 1853 quarters and halves. Damaged, cleaned, AG to MS, I'll buy any I see up if I have the money. There are a few in the mix I no longer own, but that doesn't make them less loved.
To me, they are like women. I hardly see one I don't fall in love with.

First coin obsession: CC Morgan’s, in vg-vf... set completed
After starting a type set, eventually sold off everything but a few... the one that won’t ever go, yep...1853 A/R...overpaid, bought before I even knew what the green thing was...just loved this coin
After selling the type set, started a generic pre 1933 type set...and as others have said, once you get bitten by the gold bug....well, that’s when you use the word “addiction”
