I don't see anything wrong at first glance and the cert number is valid as a 1928 saint; why are you questioning it?

The bar lines looked off to me and at the bottom of the label I'm not seeing NGC.

This is a gen 7 holder it doesn't have NGC spelled out at the bottom of the label. Here is another gen 7 for reference.

One more thing ... the bar code lines look ok to you?

That's one of my favorite NGC holders. It's the first one with the line. It's ok, not bad.

Not quite correct the gen 6 is the first holder with the line in the plastic separating the label and coin, it looks like this.

While I have no doubts in this instance, there are numerous counterfeit coins in counterfeit holders with cert. numbers which check out (because they’ve been copied). So checking the cert. number should be just a part of the process.

No idea about the holder but the coin looks good.
    I'd give it a 63

Looks like something under her branch arm and between the folds of her dress but no big deal.
It may have been bumped down 1 grade for that.

Actually before I made the purchase I checked the cert #. I didn't notice the bar lines and no NGC at the bottom of the label until I had it in hand which prompted this theard. Now I know about the Gen 7 holder.

The part upon which I rely by far, the most heavily, is the coin, itself. Some people pay more attention to the holders and the labels.

As long as the coin looks and is real no problem. The price spread from 61-63 Saints is miniscule. And the TPGs don't put many fake Saints in their holders. With the current price of gold, it's a very nice example of nearly one ounce of bullion. Nice coin.
