After my wife's grandmother died, my wife's mother and father took $150,000.00 + to bank, yes the bank called the FBI, they spent most of the day with the FBI and the bank. LOL. We were able to get a few $1.00, $2.00 and $20.00 none of it later than 1953. They exchanged it for even money at the bank before we could buy it and we didn't get very much! They traded it for today's money. Here's the dollar.

To a paper money dealer, it would be worth $1.50 at best. To a new collector, maybe $5. Personally, the value of this note is in its interesting connection to the story. That’s priceless.
I thought it was valued about $1.50. When my wife told me what they done with the $100's and $20's I about ____, well you know. We ended up with 2 of the $1, 1 of the $20, 1 $5 and some $2 bills. None of the bills over 1959. Most of the bills were in the 1930's. Her grandmother had squirreled away money for a hard time, and it in cans and hid in jars. The story is priceless.
