I should have bought a dream coin before the market tanked!

I am going to stop for 3 months and wait for some indication that things might not become as severe as my gut tells me now. Supply chain disruptions will be an economic problem. And some people who recover from a coronavirus infection will be left with health problems that will not simply go away (pulmonary fibrosis, kidney and/or liver damage, etc.). This is more like SARS than mundane flu strains.

    I just bought a premium lawn edger😊
As far as purchasing coins it doesn’t waver much. If I like the coin and the price is right I’m all in. The market will always have its ups and downs. On the downside of the market I look for better deals on quality coins.
That’s all I have for ya.
    Happy hunting, Joe

Just smash mouth ball for me lately.

Due to slow retail sales buying reduced as not bidding as high. Either buying at my price or no go. Many walking in bourse room broke or won’t pay the money. Can buy from wholesaler setup next to me local shows below bid all day. How can he get it so cheap to sell at that does it walk into shop at 60 pct bid?

Market has been losing altitude for sometime. Metals tough predict what direction. Can’t make much over BV on that stuff.

However 2 retail sales numismatics lately really good margin vs cost - tough to predict. World coins seem way undervalued.

But if you look at 20 pct drop in Stocks coins dont look that bad. Stocks likely will crash some more.

Just buy the numismatics / bullion coins you enjoy and stick to budget. Bullion coins most liquid.

I did all my selling in December. I will only be buying at a discount for the foreseeable future. If I can’t then no buying at this time. I took all my Pogue bids down one or two bids. Prior to this pandemic I would have stretched quite a bit.

I reserve the right to change my mind at any time.

Haven't changed much. No cases of Coronavirus here ( yet ). My job insulated from economic downturns. ( EMS )
Hoping it becomes a buyers market.

It’s been a buyers market. It may become more of one. Be careful! Your job has to be considered high risk. I would think anything in health care would be

Currently have 12 coins at GC I was planning on turning into one more expensive coin but if they get crushed I may just stand pat for awhile. Most are great coins so hopefully no substantial losses on them but who knows.

There are a LOT of people who are feeling a LOT less rich this week. Will they be spending heavily on coins and other collectibles in the near future?

If you are still in the market this is not the time to be generous in your offers.

Bad time to sell. Future outlook dismal.

I buy numismatics if price right say 85 pct CDN bid or less. That most likely more than they will get after auction house juice. Many collectors have unrealistic overblown idea what they can get for their material in this market.

Bright spots occasional online retail and finds of low pop world coins so very undervalued vs US. Plan get some world banknotes graded (PCGS). Looking for Mexico nice Cabalito Pesos and 50 Peso gold Centanaros. So low pop vs US.

Am in quandary which direction bullion will go. I recommend nice slabbed gold near melt PCGS 64 or higher Classic, Mod, or World if buying. Gold coins most liquid but what you get based on gold price.

After seeing graphs last nite on how Corona increasing getting a little hesitant of shows. I can’t see this being favorable impact on numismatic market and very worried many more people will die.

I bought a wildly overpriced widget today, but it was (sorta) a long-time bucket list item.

If I'm gonna croak, I knocked-off another bucket list item.

    Que sera sera.

All I can say is D*mn! I went to our local publix this morning hoping to avoid people! No parking spaces without circling....had to retrieve a buggy from the parking lot, no bread, only a small amount of whole milk, no 2% milk, produce section was dire and required very careful picking through what was left, frozen section very depleted, and somewhere between 15-30 minutes to check out.

I saw my accountant today as it is tax time.

I told him I have recently been day trading my wife's 401K.

He looked at me and said I was crazy altho I know he already knew that :D
