I'm sitting this one out.....unless there's a FIRST SHOT Label.
This will be the first mint commemorative offering that I’ll be buying since the Baseball Hall of Fame coin. However, I’m going to wait a few months and buy it on the aftermarket. No sense in wasting money on the mint mark up. I’ll probably buy one for the kid too (avatar pic) even though he doesn’t have an interest in coin collecting and already gave the obverse design a thumbs down (he did like the reverse). Hopefully the clad will be cheap on the aftermarket.
Sales will be greatly affected by the suspension of the NBA season and the March Madness Final Four being played without fans. That’s where I was going to get the bulk of my expected sales...

Love basketball and played nearly my entire life, and NO interest even to this former mint slave. IMO, this is not going to be another baseball coin.

I don’t remember a Saturday Launch for any Mint product and I don’t remember the FIRST Launch of a commemorative coin being this late in the year.
The Mint rolled the dice with a Launch coinciding with the Final Four…
…and came up with snake eyes…
You’ve wasted two months of sales to tie in with the Final Four and now that is gone and with NBA schedule being suspended, that just compounded the problem…
