    Sorry, but it's a modern facsimile. The original is exceedingly rare. Reproductions show up with some regularity on the various forums

    Don't quote me, but I think think these copies were part of a Readers Digest promotion in the 60s (if not RD, then some other promo).

    Thanks for the input. It's greatly appreciated. I received this coin in a lot of foreign & US modern mixed in an auction. I did good overall but this would have thrown me over the top. Oh well, we keep digging don't we?

    The New Hampshire coppers are quite enigmatic. There is not a lot known about them, but this one is actually most likely a copy of a fantasy piece. The ones that are most likely original are quite different. If anyone is interested do a little googling, it is quite an interesting story.
