Show us your reverse toned Morgans.

I saw this one and HAD to have it. It's my mini monster. The coin grades MS63 but this reverse is a 67 in it's own right. Love the perfect banding of color on this one. Full progression and lots of luster. Now I need an obverse to match! What do you think? Show off your reverses.

I’m sure this isn’t an example of what you want, but I really like it, and as you can see it’s prominently displayed bottoms up in my 7070:
I'm glad you like it. Not everyone likes toning, if it's nice and authentic it's ok.
It would be nice if you would show a true view of this, or just a picture of the whole slab, obverse, reverse, showing the grade would be great, I like to see how toning affects the grade.
Nice picture, just edit and add more pics.

Thanks for the welcome!! Added slab shots but no True view. I may send her in to have the reverse front slabbed and have true view.
@GarrettO - that is an incredibly nice Morgan! What does it grade?
Here’s an 84-O in 64*:

Nice one. It grades 63. Reposted some slab pics so all can see the obverse. Of course it was all about the toning for me. Obverse is meh but I think it would be hard to find one like this even in a better grade.
This is my prize 1898-O reverse toner, also grades MS-63.

I don't have any toned Morgans toned to that extent ... but I really like this one.
Nice! Great color on that tab toner.
Nice!

Here’s mine, nice for what it is:

I have to wonder if this set in a Punch Board for those that remember what punch boards are the clear band across the coin would have been from the strip of cardboard that held it in place.
I remember a full roll of Uncirculated Roosevelt Dimes from the early sixties that had set in a forgotten March of Dimes board. The seller assured me they did receive the money as many of the boards were prepaid. Another roll I wish I had back.

I get why its not graded , but it would be a solid gtg
That’s a super nice reverse toner Garrett...surprised they didn’t slab it reverse-up. ⭐️
Here’s one of mine.
**I get why its not graded , but it would be a solid gtg **
The obverse is kind of baggy and the toning is uniform pinkish, not much to get excited about.
Paid a little back of 60 Bid for it at the time from my wholesale guy, with the intent to flip it (it's a '78), but then decided with that look and the CC, it was good enough for the Dansco!
Yeah. I think when you submit you have to ask for it reverse side up. I may have it done to get the true view images too.
Sometimes they’ll just do it anyways without a request (holder reverse-up) ... especially with a monster like that. 😎
They missed this one. Wish it was though
Nice looking '81-S @GarrettO !

Thanks @SkyMan!! Nice one you have there too! 86 that is.
I have a number of reverse toner Morgans but this is the only one with a TrueView at the moment.
That's a beautiful looking coin! Congrats!

I sold it at GC last year. I miss it but was very happy with the sale.

Hard to capture the color on reverse; beautiful contrast to the O/CC IMO.
That is one colorful coin. Here's one of a different tone. Photos by crazyhounddog, thanks Joe.

Isn't that artificially toned

Well, it's certainly has an unusual look! I don't have any information on how it toned but PCGS thought it was questionable which I think is reasonable. Either way, I think it has a great look. I've never seen anything else like it.
I would guess it to be the product of a sulfur pen or something similar. Notice the "painted-on" look - i.e. no elevation chromatics, the colors being completely uninterrupted by the topography of the devices. Additionally, the colors are brighter and more neon than would appear on a naturally toned piece, and the color progression and uniform size of the rings is unlikely to naturally occur, at best. If I were to hazard a guess, when the coin is tilted the colors remain as bright and colorful regardless of the angle underneath the light, while on a naturally-toned coin they would only pop when viewed under direct light.

Sorry for the bad photo, cannot capture the brilliance of colors. Bot a roll of 79S on EBAY 15+ years ago when it was a great place to buy coins. This was included.
