My collecting has slowed down to a crawl. I've only been working on my Seated Quarter set, Seated half dimes, and a toned 1902 proof set project for the past three years. The sets are basically complete, so I'm occasionally upgrading existing coins with expensive replacements. I purchased four Seated quarters and one proof Barber quarter in 2019, and that was it.
Back in 2001-2012, I felt like I could buy almost anything and it would prove to be a good investment. As a result, I had lots of partial sets, but none of them were great sets. I'd like to see the Seated 5c and 25c become great sets so that I have something to hang my hat on after all these years of collecting.
I'm collecting, coin roll searching mostly, but i have purchased a few coin sets for my collection. I have not sold any coins yet but i'm thinking of posting some coins on ebay, i have several mint error coins i'm willing to sell.
I see a couple people voted for "Everything has been sold", and I just have to congratulate them on their willpower. I would not be able to hang out here and read excited threads of new purchases or info dumps on old favorites without buying a few new pieces myself. Maybe I just get caught up in the hype too often, but yeah, when/if I sell everything, that would also have to be the day I log out here, or I'd end up buying it all back and then some.

I’m actively buying trying to complete my Liberty Seated Dollar (4 more to go) and Trade dollar (9 more to go) sets. The Liberty Seated dollars will probably happen within the next 5-10 years due to the cost and rarity of the pieces I still need. I have been and will continue to upgrade pieces as they become available. There are just a couple left that I feel still need to be upgraded. The Trade Dollar set will probably take another year or two to complete because I made CAC approval a must for each and every piece. Once the Trade dollar set is complete. I will likely take on a new set or two... At the moment I’m leaning towards An all CAC Bust Dollar set and a Date set of CAC approved $20 Libs. Those should keep me busy for quite some time...
I selected other, have sold almost all of my type collection, to buying old ( usually generic date) gold type coins close to spot.
Was trying to add to my cwt collection, but haven’t won an auction at my price target in 6 months. Now thinking of selling that collection and just focus on gold, maybe add some world gold coins...
I've discontinued two out of eight albums that I've been working on and plan to divest the remainder of my Seated Halves via consignment. I have a box of twenty in progress, all of which are world coins, but it will not cause me to lose any sleep if I can't find twenty coins that I like. So far I have 3 pieces in it, which I really, really like.
As far as the six remaining albums I am sitting on the fence about continuing or scaling back even more. Retirement is just around the corner and coins will go on the back burner out of necessity.
I'm widdling down to a select few for now and going the box of 20 approach or close to it (maybe 10?) most likely moving forward. Anytime I try to put together a set I get bored with it and that includes type sets - it's just not for me.
Active - Actively seeking something worth collecting while investing in PCGS grading services I haven't reached collector status yet. That story will be told once I finally hit one that exceeds a 3 digit value. At that point I will either be a flipper or a collector - Not sure yet.
I voted other, my primary sets are at a stage where I cannot really add to or improve them, and I really need to consolidate and liquidate a lot of extraneous material I've collected over the years.... but at the same time, I can't stop finding neat coins on eBay, nor can I resist bidding on them. It's a disease.

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

I've pretty much collected myself in to a corner. I have all the completed sets I wanted and my type sets are in pretty good shape, I do shop for updates. Some of the things I always thought I wanted are high priced and not sure I want to tie up money in high dollar coins right now. Two of my wants are (were?) a proof Morgan and a high relief St. Gaudens $20 piece, but I have a nice $20 and a DMPL Morgan that rivals a proof, so I'm content with these.

Not really settled. I look at my registry sets and realize I need work. But I'm getting into 4 figure acquisitions so that slows things a bit. I realize something has to go but find it difficult what to sell off. I just need to get the mindset of quality over quantity. Then I need to make sure when the time comes, what I have kept has marketable value.

Ambro,
Was the problem related to the photos, lot descriptions, or something else?

Just buying No Sellie! Well except for last years American Eagle 2019 One Ounce Silver Enhanced Reverse Proof Coin. I decided to take the $2,860.00 CASH profit.
I am still actively collecting but it's very unpredictable when I will have anything to buy. I have gone "all-in" on my primary world coin series and in prior years, sold off much of what I used to collect. My collection value wise is now the opposite of diversified. So if I was primarily concerned about the money aspect, it's the wrong thing to do.
I am also looking to dispose of some coins in series I know I'll never add to and since I need all my resources for my primary series.
Selling off (mostly Morgan VAMs and other US varieties). But retaining, for now, early dollars, a Lafayette variety set, and some fun Daniel Carr material.

So a refocus on more bullion type coins.

Other. Turn 65 this week and started wondering what I wannabe when I grow up.
My main goal is becoming completely debt free by the end of 2020, so I am dealing with a limited budget.
My goals are week to week... sell something for the show in Spartanburg or Atlanta with an eye towards Dalton in April?
Hyper focused on quality, grading, and flipping with a goal of recycling the money every quarter.
