A decent smaller show to start out with, the other two regular New England monthly shows are bigger, you may also want to try the much bigger and more active Devens MA show 2 weeks later.

buying Rhode Island Nationals please email, PM or call 401-295-3000

Question for seasoned coin show guys.

What is the preferred payment method at a show?

    I’ve had mixed results.

Some couldn’t make change, others wouldn’t accept a check and Most complained about Credit Card Fees

@Electricity, I wonder if coin trading is a thing at coin shows. I want a Indian head half eagle and was thinking of trading some of my coins.

It’s a decent little show, dealers leave early like all other shows (so be there when they open) with cash only. A lot of people bring their wares to sell to the dealers. Some of the regular dealers are hilariously over priced but some have fair prices.

Several years ago I was in Greater Worcester on a business trip. Two weeks there. Nice place and all but I did have some trouble with the local dialect. And people kept asking me if I was from Texas. I'm not. Hey, it's a big country. God bless the U.S.A.

I went to the show today. I arrived around noon. As I was walking in one of the dealers was packing out! But the venue was fairly busy, so seems like he might have been missing out.

I was only looking for a few specific coins. I did the rounds pretty quickly, a few passes around the floor. I spotted only one coin I may have been interested in but the dealer was occupied the whole 20-30 min I was there. I left without asking for a price.

Overall seemed like a good mix of material available for a small-ish show.

Seemed like there was a lot of buzz and conversation. Overheard a dealer talking about strong bullion demand.

Observed a more diverse crowd than I expected as well.

Not sure I'd go again since it was kind of a haul, but seems like not a bad show.
