Anyone still own a coin they purchased at least a decade ago?

It seems there is so much trading back and forth and flipping coins for profit it is getting rare to see a collector who holds coins for many years.
I'm making this one a bit more difficult by even suggesting we show off coins we have owned for at least ten years.
Any takers in this experiment?

I have coins that I purchased in 1975-1977, and own a couple of hundred silver dollars my Dad bought between 1973-1975. Time Duration is no challenge in coin collecting.

Heck, I still have the first three coins that I ever bought - back in the winter of 1967.

This one holds special significance for me. In October of 2009; I decided that I was going to get really serious about putting together a certified, MS, set of Walkers. This one was the FIRST coin that I had bought after making that decision. Back then; I hadn't purchased a coin,, since around 2006 or so, when I bought about 7 or 8 registry coins (5 of which I still own). I thought that this one had an exemplary strike. It was my FIRST purchase from DLRC. I had won it in one of their auctions. It has, essentially, doubled in value since then.

Thanks for renewing my faith in collecting! Seriously, what with the flipping of the recent silver eagle and the buying/selling/buying/selling on eBay (and other formats) it is truly refreshing to see coins here owned by passionate collectors for ten (and twenty/thirty/forty/fifty!) years.

I still have the first coin my grandfather gave me. I'll bet we all wish we could go back several decades and buy all those "inexpensive-at-the-time" coins we passed up for whatever the reason.

The ones I remember most are a gem 1907 HR $20; an Alexander gold stater; and a 1905 BU Denver Mint token because it had some hairlines.

654 slabs are over 10 years old out of 752 total. Most held over 20 years.

I still have the 1882 CC GSA Morgan that my father gave me in the mid 1970s.....I'll never sell it.....it's very sentimental.

I knew a jeweler who dabbled in coins and he had TWO GSAs around 1994....an 1880 CC and an 1881 CC. He only wanted $300 for the pair! LOL!! I bought the 1881 CC, which I never had graded but is at least a 65. I still have it. I was too cheap to buy the other---the 1880 CC.....kept meaning to go back and get it but just never did. Oh well, one can't have EVERYTHING. (SIGH)

Clerical insert errors, a mint state coin can't have a CAM or DCAM designation and the S before the $ symbol before the 1. Someone offered me a hefty sum years ago, turned it down. I have noticed some slabs have the S before the dollar symbol and some don't.

Would you like to see a couple thousand Lincoln varieties well over a couple decades old or some
completed Dansco's from the 70's ? Maybe some original OBW's from the 60's, 70's or 80's or maybe some
slabs from the 80's ?

I still own all of these from my first purchase from Dan / @dcarr in 2006. I love skiing and was happy to pick up the skier quarter in silver. I also love visiting Maine and was happy to pick up Dan's original winning, realisitic design in silver, before the Mint changed it to a fantasy design. I didn't pick up a silver Sacagawea at the time but have one now

Most definitely. All of my error coinage assembled from the late 60's onward. Acquired via auction,purchases, as gifts, or from circulation. Never sold a one.
