Who here has never bought a coin on eBay?

I have never bought a coin on eBay.
I was just wondering if there are others here, who have never bought a coin on eBay.

I bought several in the early 2000's. Haven't bought any since.
I have bought tens of thousands of coins off of eBay.
How many problems have I had on eBay? None that I can think of.
Hmm... now that you mention it I cannot recall buying a single coin off of ebay. I don't think I have. I have bought a number Carnegie Hero Fund Medals off of ebay however.

Wow! What is your secret?
I've observed that 1% of humanity are jerks and that same percentage, more or less, exist on eBay. I have been unable to avoid them.
A lot!
Probably have bought 1000 Ebay lots. Maybe more. Only a handful of problems including a fake NGC holder about 5 years ago. One does have to know what to look for and red flags to avoid.
Have unbroken string of non-purchases from E-Bay. Plan to keep record intact.
Probably 700+ purchases over 20 years.
Only one issue, which I was able to resolve. Very few purchases the last few years.

Count me in. Never did. but I did sell an item. A friend that has an Ebay account, let me place it on his account. It was a 1999 Proof Cent. Close AM.

--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.I've been buying coins on e bay since 1998, mostly during e bucks promos
At least 500 coins, probably more.
I am very picky about looking at feedbacks, and tend to stick with people/firms that I have done business with in the past. Some of my favorite sellers are kinda squirrelly (extreme gold and silver bugs), but have never had a problem with them.
I have had like three problem transactions in all my purchases in sixteen years, and two of the problems were not coins. On one of those, the seller refused to send the item as she thought the auction closing price was too low. I know that she did this several times and that she got NARUed.
Nope. Not even sure how the whole ebay thing works. Buying or selling. Where are the rules? It's all an auction right? I guess I could just go visit the site.
20 years buying and selling with no real problems.
The occaisional jerk but I've kept my 100% positive along the way.
An eBay seller needs to be part 'jerk whisperer'.
( never sold a coin worth more than $500 for some perspective on my experience)

At least 15 years and have no plans in the future either. Not for me I guess.
I'm in the the 0 coins bought off of eBay camp
Coins and bullion.
Heck even USPS has a store on the Bay.
Surprising responses here. Without a doubt, over the past 20+ years, ebay leads the pack dollar wise with the best rips I have ever made dealing with coins! In good conscience, I can not buy coins as cheap as I do on ebay at coin shows!
Thousands of buy and sell transactions since 1998.
Only encountered small, minor problems, such as a handful of lost packages, refunds and a few negative comments.
Add them up and it pales in comparison to all the wonderful money-making transactions I've had on Ebay.
What a fantastic site!!.............especially in the years prior to 2007......after that, stricter Ebay regulations, an increase in user fees and of course a worse over all economy made for a greater challenge in finding those 'good buys', but they are definitely still out there.

If you're an actual coin collector but don't buy on E-Bay you're probably living in a cave. Photography has improved enough and since most transactions are either bullion related or involve slabbed coins, not shopping there is a mistake.
Buying raw coins requires a return privilege to be certain, but price wise there's usually enough competition where you're not going to overpay in 95% of cases.
Finding sellers with many transactions, great communication skills, glowing, honest customer feedback and a near 100% seller rating with 14 day returns is about all you need.
Buying under about any other circumstances has more downside in my opinion.
I was in the never camp until about a year ago.
Have purchased or won about a half dozen or so since.
I was tired of not finding what I was looking for in my usual places. Waiting and waiting.
It seemed great at first but cooler lately. Most BIN stuff is stupid high.

Never.
If people don’t buy on eBay because they are afraid of the seller ripping you off than just do your research. Get your coins from sellers with lots of positive feedback. If you get coins that are value in the hundreds of $, buy the graded coins and check if the Cert is in the grading company’s PCGS, NGC etc exist on the Cert verify page. Then look at auction records to learn if the coin is being sold at the right price. It’s vary easy and eBay. I have had good experiences with eBay so far, in about 2 years of shopping 👍
Hard for me to imagine not buying on Ebay. Over 85% of my collection is off Ebay and it's all good!
I've sold some coins on ebay but I have never bought any.

I would say at least 50 pct of my purchasing off the Bay. The rest mainly shows, GC. Then material flipped / moved retail online / shows. Not a one dimensional team both sides of the ball. Can’t imagine not buying off the bay, it’s the worlds largest coin & currency show.
$20 away from maxing out my ebay bucks this quarter!
I need 16 eBucks to max out at $500
Don't tempt me to buy something I don't really want!
I've bought exactly one coin on eBay. Not because I don't trust the people on there as I have purchased 1000's of Nolan Ryan cards on eBay, graded and raw. I just don't trust the photo of what I'm looking at. People hide flaws, some intentional, some by accident. There are just too many flaws that bother me that could be on a coin that I'm afraid won't show up on photos.
Edited for grammar.
