To VAM or not to VAM?

I was looking through a recent submission and noted a potential Die Chip on the obverse, just above the “ala” for the aficionados .
I’m not too concerned about having it on the label. Is it important to have this recorded for numismatics?

Nice 2A! I really like the rim toning. I don't follow the current market on this particular Vam, but I would guess there is not much of a premium. it's a neat characteristic, but it's not on any of the major Vam lists. What is the grade?

  • It’s a 62 with a green bean. I also like the toning. How much does that ding in front of the forehead influence grade? I hear terms like “depth of cut,” but I don’t know how to evaluate it. Thanks for the comment.

I have a 77cc 2a and asked about it and from what I was told it's pretty common and does not really bring any premium. Nice coin, nice strike!
