How PCGS could grade a former EF45 CAC (green) coin as EF40?
Why JA could not assign a former EF 45 CAC (green) coin a gold bean after being undergraded by PCGS as EF40. He was sent pictures of the coin in a PCGS holder graded EF45 CAC green. I thought EF45 CAC (green) is roughly equivalent to an EF40 CAC (gold).
Here's an 1849 half graded PCGS EF45 CAC green (pictured below)...now graded EF40 CAC green after the PCGS holder shattered in the mail. The coin was completely unharmed by the damage to the holder. Both grading services failed here in their grading consistency. Thanks!

Well, if they weren't so erratic and irrational with their grading, there wouldn't be any CAC rants. Thank goodness they don't alter the coin when they alter their grading standards.

Some days here this would come in handy!
I saw this online last week and my friends and I were laughing about it....16 1/2 six packs! And It’s PBR—I can’t really drink that stuff! Not very good...In my opinion.

Enjoying a Sam Adam's Octoberfest, while contemplating a future coin purchase.
