Bellinger is on pace for 71 HR's and 187 rbis ....he is hitting .431

Ill say he hits .328 with 210 hits 54 Hrs, 128 rbis....
What say you???

Do you think this is fleeting greatness or is this a Cody B we can expect more of.... not .431 necessarily but .300 plus... he leads MLB with 20 hits with 2 strikes on him.....he has a whole new approach... not sold this is merely a hot spell.

I'll say .361 avg, 195 hits, 54 homers, 148 rbi. I think were going to see a historic season out of Bellinger.

If he's anywhere close to this near the end of the season, I'll start watching every game he's in.

I predict he'll finish just behind Christian Yelich in all 3 stats. Yelich's numbers will be .327 Avg 45 HR 141 RBI's

59 hits after 41 games. Still batting .407. 14 home runs and 38 RBIs. Nice start to the year.

Bellinger has cooled pretty significantly since his hot April. He hit .431 in March/April with 14 homers. He's hit .296 since with 13 homers. Still pretty darn great, obviously.

Most importantly what is his AIR??

Bellinger did not play well the second half of the year - hit just .259 the second half.

Cody Bellinger. 2019 1st half NL MVP. He put up very solid numbers but there was no way he could sustain it. He was basically average in the second half.

You see the same thing happen with a lot of young hitters...they become pull happy. Seems like once they start, they have a hard time getting back to hitting where it's pitched. Not as good as Bellinger but we watched Hoskins go thru the same thing here, except that his second half was even worse. How much has to do with the way they are being taught in the minors that strikeouts aren't important, launch angle etc etc.
