Regency Auctions 09-26-2019
Watched the auctions on the internet, looked like some strong prices being ponied up. The collector market is alive and well. I was only following the 1968-D Kennedy in MS68,it went for $4,100, stronger then I was willing to pay . . .

The better date and grade Walkers did really well. IMHO.
Looks confident and optimistic.
Congrats to the buyers and sellers.

1963 PCGS MS66+ FBL Franklin Half Dollar did extremely well.
No $300k Merc dimes? Pffft
I was watching closely the Mercs . . . .specifically the MS69 Toner. On the heels of the MS68+, and now with the "highest graded Mercury Dime known -- the only MS69" . . . I had figured . . . . .what . . . . .$500k ???
Somewhat disappointing.

That is actually a huge price and 2.5 times the previous non-CAC record and about 7 to 8 times what most non-CACs have been going for per CoinFacts.
With 24 Mercs in 69 FB there was not as much registry set pressure (all are 1939-D's - seems like there was a story about a hoard).
The difference in value was all in the CAC sticker since this is the only one so far. Wonder if all the others have been to CAC.
