Hello all,
a friend asked me for my opinion about the attached Uncut-UNC $ 1 bills.
Personally I have very little knowledge about US currency and hence have to rely on all your answers and input.
My friends father purchased apparently 3 of these sets, all nicely packaged done up and officially looking. Her father believed it to be an investment for the future.
I have no idea and neither does my friend what her Father paid for it.
Any help and suggestions will be welcome and much appreciated

Not an investment by any stretch.
Towards the beginning of the run, C98400001C was the first.
Sheets are novel, but way to abundant to be considered an investment, unless there’s a fancy serial number in the mix.

Third party reseller of US BEP/Mint product at one time. Do not know if they are still in business. Not a US government agency.
Currently anyone can buy a $1 50-note uncut sheet from the Mint’s website.
The premium is, as mentioned, a special serial number, or whatever an unsuspecting individual thinks that do not know you can get these directly from .gov versus a .com/.net/.anyothernongovermentsite that proposes FRNs an “investment” by just holding a roll of uncut $1 notes.
The $1 4-note cut sheet would make a nice present or... fold it accordion style and give it as a tip.

However, I agree, it would make a really nice tip for a server in a high end restaurant....
do you think it would be enough?
As a waiter in a past life, if I received that four note $1 sheet as a tip I would’ve been extremely disappointed!
Especially if it was folded.
Servers DO NOT want numismatic related tips. They want money to pay bills.

It's not that these are bad notes, it's just that an aftermarket company packaged them for resale at a mark-up. The "certificate of ownership" is just window dressing.
