If I ever found Paradise, then my first goal would be to understand what a "steeping" stone might be. I know the answer is hidden in the lines of the sand........and the big stone and the little stone. The secret is to embrace them all, ........ until they are washed away.
The dual winner would be the correct numbers of stones as well as the Zen's
..... so there could be 2 winners
......... and since we don't need the bird to decide who's who ..... we'll draw early Wednesday 9/3 before my Auntie arrives to celebrate her 90th Birthday in Maui
I love how everything you say is analyzed! First stepping is spelled as steeping and that has some scratching their heads looking into a deeper meaning....tea leaves, so mysterious.....and then zen has punctuation marks around it, "ZEN"...could be a spiritual hint or perhaps another numbers game...rhymes with TEN...or short for dozen...do-zen??? Your Aunt is coming, she is 90...hmmmm another clue? 90 dozen steeping??? Happy Birthday by the way, a very special Aunt! Another clue....photo clue with stepping stones...many have tried counting them, but is it complete? Do they continue around the bend? The word ARE is capitalized...what secret meaning is hidden there....and then another clue, that it is "coin related for TBD prize". Is the answer coin related as in a favorite coin's date...
Quick recap on entries:
0,1,2
10,11,12,14,18
21,27
32,33,36,38
42,44,47
50,52,53,54,55,56
60,64
72,76,77,78
84,88
99
104,108
113,121,136,168,240,250
and some in "zen" written form:
one, first, ten,
any or none,
many or none,
and few or many!
Hmmm, is Paradise gonna add or remove stones based on the number she draws?
No. Paradise's karma will ensure that the entrant name she draws will be the truthful answer to who should win the contest. It behooves all of us contest entrants to accept that truth.

Since it took a dozen steps to reach this Zen Moment catching the reflection in the pond, upon reflection I'll double that as a guess for what it might take to complete a passage on the stepping stones around your new house.
The photo is part of the landscape and stones are all over the place!
The closest ones (over and under) will be rewarded

Good thought there because I actually have ONE on the side used to hold the tall variegated HAU tree planted down the path BUT it will not be counted nor added

The truth will be known after Paradise makes the drawing.

76, like trombones.
Pretty place!
Lance.
168!
Chinese consider 168 a lucky number, because it is roughly homophonous with the phrase "一路發", which means "fortune all the way"
That would take me to Heaven on Earth along with ache and pain getting there
Looks like a nice place to be. I’m in the city and concrete isn’t so nice. I’ll say 60.

Paradise on earth? Many say Hana. How many steps to Hana? Few or many depending on where you start.
42 is the answer to the “ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything,”
I'll guess 108 - for the 108 different sins and worries in our minds which block our path to achieve enlightenment.
Rocking my "shiny-object-syndrome"!!!

Hey hey mama, Said the way you move, gonna make you sweat, gonna make you groove.
Oh wait, you said Zen moment.......never mind.
Just one, if it's the correct one.

It would only take me 2-3 steps there to reach my zen... but I am guessing there are 78 around your house
Z Z moves no matter how you look at it

Congrats to Auntie ! Ask her secret.

My guess was 10 but considering we are on the eve of the drawing, I also guess 11 if it's allowed to make more than one guess.
I now have two entries for the contest. Let the drawing begin!

Another part of many parts
you all may change your guess if happened to be confused of the word "ZEN"
