Curious as to what this is. It was given to me today by an employee who knows I like coins.

    It's a Norfed coin. Very interesting story and too long for me to post here.

    Great find. These were the subject of controversy. I've been looking for one. Yours appears to have been sold for its silver value as these come nicer. Look up "Norfed dollar" for the story.

    Not a coin; but you have a nice friend to give away silver. But check it with a magnet.

    If it is silver, then it is a silver round, i.e., bullion silver. Worth whatever the spot price of 1 oz of .999 silver if you sell.
