Local Chicago TV has commercials for ANA convention next week.
One of them appeared to include MessyDesk (who I only recognized because of the shirt he was wearing).

Given all of the gun violence in Chicago, do they really want to broadcast this over general TV airwaves?
Rosemont is a long way west from the worst problem area(s). For those who are unaware, it is MOL adjacent to O'Hare Airport.
Like most major convention center areas around the country, security is above average.
I'm sure I'm overreacting, but it is within a half hour car ride. One ultra high relief Saint would buy a lot of street drugs. It only takes one drug dealer in a car to ruin an otherwise (seemingly) nice area. Extra security is great though. I just think as a general matter advertising anything coin related on TV (other than a mail order business) seems risky to me. That's true anywhere but Chicago scares me. The graphics are scary:
Been to the show in Rosemont two times before. All safe as can be, almost suburban in venue, far from any tough areas of Chicago. The chances of the 0.0001% of the gang-related population of the area carrying over in to Rosemont is well - 0.00000001%.
My wife told me there is a 1894-S proof dime being sold. She doesn't give a 💩about coins so that had to be put in her face from some news article. I told her it must be something being sold at the big show next week ( is it ? That's the only news I heard ). Rosemont is safe. Try the Hofbräuhaus near convention too long a walk for me after walking the show ( but most of you younger farts could do it easily) validated parking closer. A little bit of Munich right here in Chicago. I think they have authentic old German live music on weekend nights.
They should do a lot more commercials and tell the world about them TV hucksters.

OK, this seems like an odd question to ask, but how do I see the commercial without watching TV?
