To maximize return what route would you use selling 80-100 coin set. Please take into account picture quality, service and reputation. Also final fees ie no fees 105% return etc.

I thought about that but decided against adding a value in effort to more inclusive. 10 k set vs a 2 million dollar set would certainly change a persons strategy. Let’s assume a 300k to 600k collection. Not likely Legend would deal with 80-100 sub 1k coins.

that math doesn't work out the same way for me.

    Heritage one auction

Any chance you could cut out the middlemen and find buyers yourself? You know Hansen is potentially game (just don't sell yourself short if it is a low pop in addition to a top pop as a bidding war could ensue).

Crap forgot to add Legend will re do a better poll tomorrow

After it trashed (in my opinion) the winning bidder of the last common date top pops (the 1931-S and 1938-S FB dimes), I would be concerned that Hansen would no longer participate in its auctions. The field for top pop moderns (I'm assuming you were asking about your top pop silver Washington quarters) is already limited to a few players and the removal of one of them could have major implications.

From prices realized, I suspect max total would be offering to Legend first and the coins that do not meet their criteria then go another route. Also for consideration would be speed of sale, and if splitting collection in 2 tax years would be better.
