Incredible set!!! Congrats!!

My set remained at the top of the All Time Finest list from the very beginning of the Registry for Early Dollar sets (2002) until last December, even beating the Amon Carter collection by nearly 5 points and the Eliasberg Collection by over 5 points. Now your set has exceeded mine by an incredible 1.5 points more! Wow!!!

Do you think the second 1798 dollar was dipped at some point? Not that I find it unattractive, in fact it's nice to see a relatively untone example in brilliant condition. It's easier to see all the design elements.

Wonderful set- congrats.

I am unable to decide which ones I like best- The 1803 followed by the 1801 are my current favorites and I suppose that could change

It is very satisfying to realize that such fantastic examples of early US Coinage exist and that there are people such as yourself (and others) who are willing to acquire them, care for them and share them with others who enjoy the hobby. BTW - I was able to view and hold the 1794 dollar at lot viewing before the stack's auction and it was one of the great coin moments in my life!!!!!

Probably never - they aren't really part of the early dollar series. A coin struck in 1834 dated 1804 isn't included in a circulation strike set

Bruce always have wold class coins and sets. This set was award HOF in 2016.

Lol. Well, I had an opportunity that I couldn’t refuse on the 1804, so yes I purchased that. A couple of upgrades along the way - both 1795 coins have been upgraded with better examples...I’ll try to post pics

What fun it would be to spend a quite evening at a table, under good lighting, having this collection of early dollars spread out before you. Just you, the coins, a loupe and a favorite beverage.

Numismatic Nirvana.

Even better would be having some fellow collectors with similar coins (i.e. early MS gold, silver and copper) join you for an evening of show and tell, dinner, drinks and later a game of poker (pretend poker, or for those with big ones real poker) in which the poker chips are the slabbed coins in the collection of all of the poker players.

I can see it now:

"I will see your 1795 MS 65+ Dollar and raise you my 1802 MS 66 Eagle"

That’s a super coin! I remember it grading NGC MS66. The surfaces are about as pristine as you will ever see!
