So I do cut auto's and such, when I came across this 1948 Leaf look Duke Snider. At first, I thought this was a real card that I'd never heard of. Then I start looking at the other auctions, and they're all homemade cards. Even says so in the auctions. These things are bringing some good coin. They even have they're own website. Who knew? :o

    I have seen a couple of Banty Red Joe Louis cards. I like them. I hope to buy one someday if I can find one at the right price. Here's what they look like.

    Sporting Life chewing gum are also homemade cards. I hope to find this one someday also.

    They have some really nice looking cards no doubt, but I'm curious. What is it you guys like about them and are willing to pay for them? The vintage look?

    I like the vintage look. They can also be hard to track down, depending on which one you're looking for. Plus the craftsmanship that goes into them.

    I like that the cards look they are painted rather than printed onto a card.

    Wasn't that Phil who was making them? Before that he was doing photos from a bunch of slides he had purchased.

    Looks like a Sporting Life ripoff. I think the lack of a modern copyright is BS. I'm a fan of the Sporting Life cards because they put the actual modern copyright on the back.
