was not sold
WOW!
Edit to add....That's why auctions don't work on ebay anymore!
The listing says sold. But maybe not as there is no bidding history.
Probably a mistake in the listing.. doubt the seller went through with it
They likely left off a zero.
I doubt this gets shipped out (it will be canceled and relisted for the correct price).
There's no way in the world that DLRC would let it go that cheap.

You're probably right...... I'd be upset if it happened to me.
Can't be right. MS would bring much higher. There are 1896 Morgans in MS65 asking higher.
Edited to add. When DL Hansen goes to sell, he is going to see millions shaved off of his "investments".
Relisted at the correct price.

I don't know what I am looking at but...the listing I pulled up was from last year.

Ebay's accounting system for "sold" items is just horrible. It's one thing for something that sells in an auction environment. Those usually are sold....assuming there was a real buyer who will pay up.....and not some kid bidding from his mom's basement....lol.
For plain old buy it now listings those often default into the "sold" category, whether they sold or not. I see it about 20-30% of the time on collectible drums and cymbals which I follow closely. I know they didn't sell for a stupidly high or low price....yet there's the "sold" listing. It's BS. You have to apply common sense too.
i have never bought anything from this vendor because they sell fixed priced coins closer to retail. on a buy it now or best offer they only take 2 percent or less off a best offer. you can bet this coin never got shipped anywhere at that price.
I thought fixed price on eBay was supposed to be retail. Is eBay supposed to be wholesale?
eBay listing prices are all over the map!
I suppose CoinFacts will pick up this eBay "sale" and skew the other sale prices for this grade.

When searching solds on ebay it does not show up. whew!

It's been fixed!

maybe it's just me, but I liked the other price better!

Now’s your chance😉
Glad he recognized mistake and fixed it.
already noted before your post in this thread above, redundant.........
Well said. But when anything is brought to their attention coinfacts will manually edit it out, but ebay sales being reported on coinfacts is most of the time inaccurate view of the coin values. Also an FYI, now non auction sales or BUY IT NOW, are hooked up to the cert which will not be in coinfacts but on the cert. I dont get why pcgs doesnt realize how reporting ebay sales is single handedly destroying value.
For example - a seller puts up terribel photos of, he has 10 feedbacks and hardly sells, buyers are afraid if the $5k+ certified piece might be a fake listing. It sells for 40% less than all other pcgs apr. I get the coin its real as can be. The sale is hooked up to the cert and on coinfacts. How do you think this plays out for the coin in similar grade. Def not well. Destroying value. Why are they doing this.
