How have the world coin submissions been doing?

I haven't submitted anything in over a year. I just dropped off 16 Chinese coins to be graded. Should be back around the end of June.

Was curious how recent submissions have went for others?

I find PCGS to be very tough !

I submitted to beautiful coins that did not cross. Very surprised

I know they swing back and forth at times. I have several nice ones in this group I guess we will see how it goes.

You can see my latest submission here - I just got the coins back.

Turnaround was pretty fast. Grades were higher than I expected.

    Good luck!

Took around 15-17 business days for my world econ sub. Grades were as expected (one lower, one higher than I expected) and TruViews were quality as always. I will probably be sending in another sub in the next few weeks.....so keep us posted on your results!

The internet consensus is that grades have been coming back a little higher lately (although it feels like people are always saying that, hence gradeflation).

I got the following Canadian back about a month ago. Check out the tru-views if interested:

    10c 1950 MS65 37496771
    10c 1952 MS64 37496772
    25c 1950 MS64 37496773
    50c 1938 AU55 37496774

I was happy with the grades, and thought that they were even a little generous with the 1938.

Well I got the grades back for these. I think it was worse than I Expected. For the silver 50 cents I could see no hairlines with the loop. Silver coins have always been difficult to determine cleaning for me. For the Sinkiang province pieces, terrible quality planchets that lead to ED are a more than common occurrence, I would say its the roll of the dice for the grade and the same with the planchets for the Soviet issues for using crude planchets.
