Maybe smoebody can think of an exception, but almost all of the modern errors, varieties, low mintages and gimmicks over the past 20 years have had the same pattern: early surge excitement/flipping, followed by a long, eternal slide into eventual oblivion and disinterest.
I think this one has a good chance of being "an exception".
It is really getting to be fun for an old retired geezer like me to come up with 2 boxes of coins every day, then come home and pick out the W's, put them on ebay, and then mail the coins out . There are thousands of people that don't have access to them because of location or the time to go to the banks to get the quarters and look through them.

I definitely know how the thousands feel. Still hunting.
Is not as easy as it sounds to find these W's. There are hundreds of millions of quarters out there and believe me you will see plenty of junk while you are searching. Try carrying a couple of boxes from the bank to your car and then spending hours upon hours searching through them. Then you have to get rid of the opened rolls that were not what you are looking for. People gladly pay for what I do and yes I do deserve every penny I get for doing it.

They just confused the whole sequence of things here in Albuquerque. They released the Lowell D's today into the system after they released all of the 2nd issue that had the W's for the Lowell in them and they have not released the Mariana 'W quarters yet. So now you are going to have these things all mixed up and it is going to be real hard to go through them. I am sure glad I got my share of the Lowell W's when they were easy to pick out. They stuck out like a sore thumb when they were mixed in with the Marianas.

When the current moderns become post-modern and the current post-moderns become ancients. Still have about half-a-century to go.

Collateral damage from hunting the W quarters.

Finally found a W quarter!
My 24th box turned out to be a solid box of American Memorial quarters, I got 1 out of the whole box.
Maybe in another 3 months & 48,000 coins I will find another one.
