Three days show, March 28 to March 30 about 20,000 people showed up. I always say China coin has a big collector base to support the price.

    @jt88 That is a lot of people.

    Must have exceeded fire code for occupancy?

    If in US there are so many people attend, dealer may not need to pay for the table. LOL

    A lot of the attendees actually look fairly young!

    I would have loved to set up table at that show except I do not own any Chinese coins.

    I manage money. I earn money. I save money .
    I give away money. I collect money.
    I don’t love money . I do love the Lord God.

    I think Chinese coins were not the most sought after items there.
    I bet rare colonial and early US and European were tops.

    @jt88 Out of curiosity, anything with Chinese chopmarks seen at the show? I'm kind of glad that chopped coins aren't generally pursued by Chinese collectors, but I figure there must be a few collectors over there.

    Sorry can’t answer that question. Generally speaking Chinese collectors don’t like chop mark

    @jt88,

    Thanks for the post. Is their a link to the HK coin show? Is their a coin show in SH or BJ? How are the prices, compared to US or British firms? What types of merchandise — almost exclusively Chinese material, or a nice mix of Chinese, other Asian and non- Asian? Slabbed or raw? Modern, classic or mixed?

    I typically like high grade, cool looking classic material, though I know very little about Asian numismatic material.

    I’m due for a trip to Asia, and I think I can convince my wife to factor in a brief detour to a coin show if it were interesting enough for me to attend.

    They actually indirectly admit that there is an issue of fakes being possibly sold.
    Why would they partially refund the Table fee if caught?
