Has anyone here dealt with eBay buyer benjaminflankum

He's returning a $800 coin. Just curious if he has returned other coins.
I might be starting a list of buyers who have returned more than a few coins.

I used to be somebody, now I'm just a coin collector.
Recipient of the coveted "You Suck" award, April 2009 for cherrypicking a 1833 CBHD LM-5, and April 2022 for a 1835 LM-12, and again in Aug 2012 for picking off a 1952 FS-902.

BBL Thanks for the heads up. :)

Sorry you had to deal with them. :/

I would think eBay themselves would have to start keeping track. I have cut down on my listings and free returns because of buyers gambling for rips.

they do. If you go to eBay message boards you will find people complaining about being suspended for excessive returns.

It is always ironic to me how much complaining gets done on this board about returns. When one of us gets a coin they don't like due to a spot they didn't see or something, the first advice we give to them is to "return the coin".

I'm not saying that some people don't abuse the privilege. That's why I block anyone who isn't a regular for a return that is not rooted in a mistake. [For example, I missed a small scratch on a large cent last year.] I just got an NGC 64 Norse returned - 1st return of the year It was someone I hadn't dealt with before so 1 transaction = 1 return = blocked forever. But he was within his rights and I"m just happily eating the cost of the return as the cost of doing business.

Is there a difference between auctioned items and BIN? I would guess fewer returns for auctioned items. I sold my LIncolniana collection a few years back, mostly medals, all auctioned and had no returns.
