    The big surprise for me is that those 100 trillion $ bills that used to sell to collectors for 2 or 3 dollars now sell for closer to $100.

    The sort of hyperinflation that Zimbabwe had also hit Germany in the early 1920s and Hungary after WWII. It is also occurring in Venezuela right now.

    I just got back from a trip to Zimbabwe (and Botswana) and the locals were selling a bundle of Zimbabwe currency for $10 USD starting price. I ended up buying 2 bundles for $5 USD. My 6 note bundle included a $50,000,000,000 $5,000,000,000 $50,000,000 $1,000,000 $50,000 and a $1,000 note.

    This example recently sold for almost $400!!! The high grade got some folks really fighting hard for this one at auction.
