Can anybody give me approx. value of a 1938-D cent graded MS70 Red by SGS?

If it crosses to PCGS at that same grade,,,,,,,,, I'd take a guess at $50,000.

SGS was notorious for overgrading coins. Chances are, your coin has been over graded and worth much less than you anticipated.

The lack of liquidity for the slab is a major reason why I suggested the approximately 25-cents range. Perhaps it is a nice, original, un-dipped coin in MS64 or MS65, but even in a PCGS holder and labeled red (RD) they are only $10.

I'm sorry if this comes off as arrogant or demeaning or whatever else, but a good approximation is about 25-cents unless one sees the coin in-hand.

They're saying that "Graded MS70 Red by SGS" doesn't indicate anything about the Quality or value of the coin. Show large, clear pictures! It might very well be a decent MS65 or 66, but there is no way to tell, so far.

In all fairness, I never see anything in an SGS.slab less than MS70.

Wow! That is funny. Upside down SGS, Star Grasing service, bar code and SN do not match, wrong bar code size... not to mention the gras (grade)

If a slab like that were offered to me at a show, I'd pay a buck or two for it and then most likely donate it to one of the local coin clubs to be given out as a prize or as a youth item.
