Neat coin. I wonder why CAC decides to cover up part of the insert so as to make it difficult to read the attribution?
I suppose CAC could place their decal vertical instead of horizonal?
My oldest dated British coin, Scotland was the first country in the British Isles to place dates on coins starting with James V's gold coins in 1539. I don't believe the Anglish got around to placing dates on coins until 1551 during the reign of Edward VI.
