The old small ANACS holder was the perfect size. At the time, every US coin would fit it with the exception of the $50 Pan-Pac Expo gold slugs which most people will never own. Also, they are 2" wide and will fit in boxes designed for the 2X2 standard coin holders.

Likely one of the former owners of ANACS (Amos Press?) owns the copyright to the holder and won't release it without a nice payday.

Anyone have general information on when the Anacs number/letter combination series ran from/to? When did they switch over to all numbers?

What's fun is digging them and stupid rattlers out of a box lined up with real slabs. :#
Of course trying to get the boxes to close on NGC holders and turn loose of newer PGGS ones is amusing also.

When is "Plastic Slab World" due to be published? :smirk:

Thank you for sharing all of your Uber cool old slabs!
I think I probably purchased a few coins I really didn’t need because of these cool minimalist slabs.

What’s the difference between 6 digit & 7 digit slabs, if any?

do you see any scratches on these holders? I think there is a patent on the plastic

I totally agree with you Soldi.

After looking at your post I had to look at a giveaway I had that was in an older "ANACS" holder, the holder was pristine!

    The net grading was awesome!

I like 'em. I bought this quarter raw on eBay for $91.00 and then submitted it to ANACS myself. Forgot how much I eventually sold it for, but made a nice profit. The pic. doesn't begin to show the booming luster it had.

I never thought that growing old would happen so fast.
