The one I posted on page one, see how the surface isn't as smooth looking. Not sure if this is a result of dipping or what. Other 1913 T1s that I have don't look the same.
The reason the 1938d over d became popular is that there were only coins made at denver and the overminmark 38d/s and the prepunched mintmark 1938-d/d gave this year three example just like the typical p-d-s years.

The type 1s had extra detail especially in the reverse field under the buffalo, you can see the grand tetons in the background.
This was also a nice raw purchase.
